Al-Bahr Mosque

The most beautiful and magnificent mosque in Damietta, it sits on the east bank of the Nile overlooking the city. Built in an Andalusian style on an area of 1200 square meters, the mosque is an important symbol of the city’s Muslim heritage. The mosque’s walls are decorated with the finest lines of Islamic inscription, and two mighty minarets that can be seen from anywhere in the city. It is also topped with five domes that are meticulously designed.
