Prince Youssef Kamal Palace

Built under the supervision of Italian architect Antonio Lasiac, one of the most prominent architects in the 19th century, the palace has long been considered one of the most unique examples of architectural fusion of European and Islamic styles in Egypt. The massive palace is also home to one of the first wooden elevators, which was specifically made for the prince’s ailing mother. As Prince Youssef was a renowned art enthusiast, traveler, historian, geographer, and explorer, the state-of-the-art palace will include a grand exhibit of masterpieces and rare collectables.
