Ras el-Tin Palace

This grand palace is one of the most memorable views you can see walking down the corniche in Alexandria. Originally used as a summer vacation home for previous sultans and known for the location where the abdicated King Farouk last sailed to Italy in exile, the palace is now used by the Egyptian navy. This means that the beautiful interior is not open for visitors, but the outside grandiose facade is best seen from the harbors.
