Tabat Al-Shagara

From 1948 to 1973, Egypt engaged in a series of wars with colonial powers and Israel, where at times they occupied Egyptian land and attempted to control the coveted Suez Canal. At Tabat Al Shagara, you can see a leftover Israeli tank bunker that is located on the east side of the Suez Canal. Egypt was able to fight off the colonial powers and regain all its stolen land through the Camp David Accords in 1978.
