Tombs of the Nobles

In the high cliffs opposite to Aswan, one can almost see a honeycomb-like structure which is a collection of tombs that were carved out of the mountain. Dating back to the time of the pharaohs, the tombs house the nobility of old Aswan and can be reached by ferry. Excavations are still going on today, with more and more tombs being found every year.
